Human & Kind Day & Night Cream is a pretty good, basic moisturizer that can be used during the day, or at night (…obviously). It’s a fairly thick textured cream, but it spreads nicely and leaves skin looking healthy. It hydrates well and contains a selection of good natural ingredients.
The third ingredient is Centella Asiatica extract, or gotu kola extract. This ingredient helps reduce inflammation and supports natural collagen production. The cream also contains avocado oil and rosehip oil which both hydrate and soften skin, in addition to providing vitamins and antioxidants. Unfortunately, the product contains fragrance. Its listed right near the end of the ingredients list. This is the only real downside of the product formulation. I don’t know if it’s natural or synthetic fragrance, and there is a fairly minuscule amount, but that could be a problem for some.
Ingredients: Water, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Centella Asicatica Extract, Tricaprylin, Glycerine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Sucrose Stearate, Stellaria Media (Chickweed) Extract, Rosa rubginosa (Rosehip) Seed Oil, Althaea Officinalis (Marshmallow) Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Tocopherol, Xanthan Gum, Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal.
I found this cream a bit heavy for my oily, acne-prone skin. So did my husband. I didn’t experience any actual breakouts, just a few clogged pores. But this cream caused quite a few breakouts for him, which he did not appreciate. This cream is probably best for slightly oily to slightly dry skin types that are not prone to breakouts. It’s a nice product, and a good value at 2.5oz for $35, but it just didn’t really work for me.
