For anyone who wants intense hydration with a featherweight finish, DECIEM Labs’ Hylamide Low Molecular HA Multi-Depth Rehydration Booster is the product for you. This hydrating serum contains 5 different types of hyaluronic acid at varying molecular weights. What this means is that each type of hyaluronic acid is a different size and can therefore penetrate to different layers of your skin. The smallest molecules can penetrate to the very deepest layers of your skin, while the larger molecules hydrate at the surface.
Other positive aspects of this formula: it’s fragrance free, silicone free, alcohol free, cruelty free, and vegan.

This is basically the product I was hoping for when I bought Drunk Elephant B Hydra Intense Hydration Booster. (read that review HERE). That product is fine, there isn’t really anything wrong with it. But this is so much better. And so much less expensive at $20USD per ounce!
So far, this serum has really impressed me. It is fairly thick for a serum, it’s almost more of a super thin gel. The dropper-style dispenser is great for getting just a few drops. This is an amazing hydrator that leaves skin feeling supple, plumped, and comfortable. I particularly noticed how good it is at hydrating my chronically dehydrated (yet oily) areas, like my forehead. Certain areas of my face are just always tight and dehydrated, no matter how much water I drink. Usually after applying moisturizing products (creams/lotions), my forehead still feels tight. But not anymore after using this. This serum also absorbs very quickly, leaving no residue of any kind. Your skin is left feeling perfectly hydrated. Because it absorbs so well and hydrates so thoroughly, it sits really well under sunscreen and makeup. No balling or pilling.
Hylamide Low Molecular HA is a product focused solely on hydration. There aren’t really any other benefits of this particular serum. If you want antioxidants or any other benefits, you will have to layer your serums. I like to layer this over an antioxidant serum (usually a vitamin C serum) and/or a brightening serum (like The Ordinary Alpha-Arbutin 2% serum) in the morning. Then I follow up with sunscreen. This provides antioxidants + hydration + sun protection under my makeup.
I will likely repurchase this since it is a really great product that is effective and well priced. If you are looking for a hydrating serum, look no further: Hylamide Low Molecular HA is definitely worth a try. You’ll be happy you gave it a shot.
Hylamide Low Molecular HA Multi-Depth Rehydration Booster is available in a 1oz bottle for $20USD on Amazon or if you’re in Canada, The Bay.
