I managed to snag Biossance Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel from Sephora during one of its brief periods of actually being in stock. I must say, I’m so glad that I did. This is an amazing eye gel that actually seems like it’s doing something when I apply it. This firms, brightens, and tightens the under-eye area within a few minutes of application. I find it dries down a bit more slowly than some products, but if you apply sparingly then it doesn’t take too long. I usually give it 2-3 minutes to fully soak in, then I apply my sunscreen. Once it fully dries down, it layers well under sunscreen and makeup and keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. If you don’t let it soak in long enough, it may pill up a bit.
Biossance Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel is packed with beneficial ingredients. It contains niacinamide (for brightening), vitamin B5, green tea extract, hyaluronic acid, and caffeine (which is super helpful for minimizing puffiness and tightening skin). Plus the squalane and peptides, obviously.
Ingredients: Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Squalane (Material), Niacinamide, Glycerin, Panthenol, Algae Extract, Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture Extract, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Tocopherol, Pentylene Glycol, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Lycium Barbarum (Go Ji) Fruit Extract, Lycopene, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Skin Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Caffeine, Acacia Senegal Gum, Dimethicone CrossPolymer, Carbomer, Lauric Arginate, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Silica, Potassium Sorbate, Caprylyl Glycol.
If you’re looking for a good AM eye moisturizer, this is a fantastic option. The price is a bit on the high side, but it’s not totally ridiculous. I feel like the efficacy of the product justifies the cost. It’s also great for sensitive skin since it doesn’t contain any fragrances or alcohols that can cause irritation. It’s also natural, cruelty free, and vegan. What’s not to love?
